Inherit The Earth - FVD visitors interview Talin

I'd like to know whether ITE fans are allowed to make games or stories that are extensions on the ITE universe?
I won't tell if you won't.

Actually, some of the material written above could be used as the starting point for a story guideline, if you wish to use it (you don't have to.) I'd be interested in seeing what people came up with.

Since I don't own the copyright, I have no authority to tell people what to do or what not to. I really doubt that 3DO would care if anyone wrote stories about a piece of intellectual property which has little chance of ever generating revenue for them.

Rif and his two companions enter a monitoring station perched high on a dam wall. This is my favourite part in the game, because it seemed to give so many clues as to what might have happened to the humans, without directly saying "Here's what happened!".

And finally...
I also want to add a couple bits of trivia which I think you might find interesting:

First, the game engine that was developed for Inherit the Earth was extended and modified, and used for the game "I have no mouth, and I must scream", published by Cyberdreams.

One of the absolutely most fun things I have ever done in my life was working with the voice actors for ITE. These people were great! They were so funny and talented, and willing to take directions from me as to what kind of voices I wanted. (The only exception was the voice of the Orb of Hands - I couldn't be there that day, and so the voice director did the direction. I REALLY did not want it to sound like "Kit the Car" from KnightRider but the voice director thought it would be cute.)

Well folks, that's it! Again, I'd like to thank everybody responsible for this interview, especially Talin, who's responses completely floored me. :-) I hope you've enjoyed it!
